The EcoFlow Power Hat has recently made waves in the tech world with its unique design and functionality. As a wide-brimmed floppy-ish sun hat, it is equipped with solar cells that allow users to charge their phones on the go. While the concept may sound a bit dorky at first, the practicality of such a device cannot be overlooked.

According to EcoFlow, the Power Hat is capable of charging a 4,000mAh smartphone to full capacity in as fast as 3-4 hours. This makes it ideal for outdoor activities such as camping or surviving in harsh environments. The hat features solar cells made from a thin, flexible material called passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) monocrystalline silicon, offering a 12-watt charging capacity via USB-A and USB-C connectors on the underside of the brim. Additionally, weighing only 370 grams, the Power Hat is lightweight and comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Not only is the Power Hat functional, but it is also built to last. With an IP65 rating, it is dust-proof and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for use in various weather conditions and outdoor activities. While the hat may not be able to withstand a super soaker attack directly on the USB ports, it is designed to withstand typical outdoor elements.

The Power Hat comes in two size ranges to accommodate different head sizes. The smaller size is adjustable between 56-58cm (22-22.8 inches), while the larger size fits heads ranging from 59-61cm (23.2-24 inches). Currently available for preorder until August 31st, EcoFlow plans to start shipping out the Power Hats in mid-September. This gives tech enthusiasts the opportunity to get their hands on this innovative accessory before it hits the market.

While the EcoFlow Power Hat may seem like a quirky accessory at first glance, its functionality and practicality make it a must-have for tech enthusiasts on the go. With its ability to charge devices using solar power, durable design, and versatile sizing options, this dorky yet useful accessory is sure to make a statement in the world of wearable tech.
