Vampire survival game V Rising has been in early access for a couple of years now, and developers Stunlock have announced that the price of the game will be permanently raised to almost twice its current cost. This price increase is scheduled to take effect on April 5th, ahead of the game’s full 1.0 launch. The justification provided by Stunlock is the amount of content and development that has gone into the game over the past two years in early access.

When V Rising first launched into early access back in May 2022, it was made available at its current price with the understanding that it was still a game in development. However, after two years of early access and significant progress in the game’s development, Stunlock has decided to increase the price to reflect the full value of the game. The game has seen improvements in various areas such as magic, new non-vampiric inspired areas, an expanded bestiary, and the ability to build a castle.

The upcoming 1.0 launch on May 5th is set to introduce further tweaks to endgame PvP, shake up armour and gear for better class specialization, and offer improved visuals and performance. Stunlock has also made it clear that the game will continue to receive updates and new features even after the 1.0 launch, as long as the game remains popular. Additionally, a Castlevania crossover is set to be included in the 1.0 update, adding even more content for players to enjoy.

With the price of V Rising set to almost double, potential players may be wondering if the game is worth the increased cost. Despite the price hike, Stunlock is confident that players will still be getting their money’s worth with the amount of content and updates that have been added to the game. However, for those who already own the game or purchase it before April 5th, they will still have access to all content at the original price.

V Rising’s price increase may seem steep to some, but with the amount of content and updates that have been added to the game over the past two years in early access, it appears that players will still be getting a good value for their money. The upcoming 1.0 launch promises even more improvements and features, further solidifying V Rising as a game worth considering, even at its higher price point.
