To find and delete your oldest posts on Facebook, you can start by accessing the platform on the web or mobile app. On the web, navigate to your profile page, click on the Filters button, and select the year you joined Facebook to see posts from that year. On the mobile app, scroll down to your posts, tap on the Filters link, and browse through your posts chronologically by tapping through a calendar. If you don’t remember when you joined Facebook, follow the steps to locate your account creation date under the Account Center. If you have a lot of posts to sift through, use filters like month to narrow down the results, and delete posts by clicking the three dots next to them and selecting Delete post.
Twitter, also known as X, is a platform where opinions and takes are shared freely. If you’re looking to clean up your old tweets, use the platform’s built-in search engine to find and delete them. On the web, enter (from:username) until:yyyy-mm-dd since:yyyy-mm-dd in the search box, change the username to your X handle, adjust the dates, and hit Enter. Sort the tweets chronologically by clicking on the Latest tab and delete unwanted tweets by clicking the three dots next to them. If you’re using the mobile app, use the same search terms to find your tweets by tapping on the magnifying glass icon. Remember, your account creation date can be found on your Profile page.
Instagram, a platform that has been popular for showcasing photos and videos, can accumulate a large number of posts over the years. To clean up your Instagram profile, use the mobile app to sort through your posts. Tap on your profile picture, select Your activity, and then tap on Posts to view your oldest to newest posts. If you want to be more specific in your search, use the All dates drop-down menu to look for posts within a specific date range. If you come across posts that you’d like to remove, tap on the post, click on the three dots in the top-right corner, and choose Delete.
