DJI, known primarily for its drones, is now venturing into the electric bike market with its Avinox drive system and Amflow e-bike brand. The company’s first offering, the Amflow PL electric mountain bike, is set to be released before the end of the year. With its innovative technology and impressive features, DJI is poised to make a mark in the industry.

Impressive Features of the Amflow PL

The Amflow PL boasts a powerful Avinox motor that provides 120Nm of maximum torque and 1000W of on-demand boost power. This allows riders to conquer even the steepest inclines with ease. Despite its power, the bike remains relatively lightweight at just 19.2kg, thanks to its carbon fiber frame and Avinox drive system. The removable 800Wh battery can fast-charge from zero to 75 percent in just 1.5 hours, making it convenient for riders on the go.

One of the standout features of the Amflow PL is its two-inch color OLED touchscreen display, integrated into the frame. The bike also comes with an Avinox app that allows for wireless access to riding data and bike settings. The bike is equipped with four pedal-assist modes, including an auto mode that adjusts power delivery based on riding resistance. Additionally, the bike features a full suspension system from Fox, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride.

According to Christina Zhang, senior director of corporate strategy at DJI, the company’s experience in battery and motor technology from drones and camera stabilization systems has paved the way for the creation of the Avinox drive system. DJI has leveraged its expertise in reliable motor development, battery management, mechanical design, and engineering to enter the electric bike market successfully. With a focus on innovation and excellence, DJI is set to compete with other premium electric sport bikes on the market.

Expansion and Future Prospects

In addition to its foray into the electric bike market, DJI has been developing intelligent driving solutions for automobiles in China and recently expanded into the consumer battery market with the launch of power stations. The company’s commitment to innovation and technology is evident in its products, and the Amflow PL is no exception. With an expected price range between €7,000 and €12,000 ($7,500 and $12,850), the Amflow PL is positioned as a premium offering in the electric bike market.

DJI’s entry into the electric bike market with the Avinox drive system and Amflow PL represents a significant step forward in the industry. With its cutting-edge technology, smart features, and sleek design, the Amflow PL is sure to turn heads and attract riders looking for a premium electric bike experience.
