Twitter user pl_evil recently provided a translation of a letter to shareholders from Bloober Team, revealing that their upcoming game “Project C” will be announced later this year. This new project comes after the release of Layers Of Fear, which interestingly had sequels titled Layers Of Fear 2 and Layers Of Fear. The studio is currently working on various IP projects for other companies, such as the Silent Hill 2 remake set to be released soon and a game collaboration with Skybound Entertainment under the codename “Project R.” Given Skybound Entertainment’s association with The Walking Dead, it is likely that Project R will have a similar theme. It is speculated that Project C may be officially announced this summer, possibly by someone named Geoff with flashy sneakers.

Bloober Team’s Track Record and Unique Style

Bloober Team rose to prominence in the gaming industry after their acclaimed release of Layers Of Fear in 2016. Since then, they have established themselves as a prominent horror game developer with a distinct style that often involves themes of distorted reality. Their previous titles, such as Observer and The Medium, have received positive reviews for their innovative gameplay mechanics and intriguing narratives. Despite some criticism for their adaptation of Blair Witch in 2019, Bloober Team has expressed their commitment to remaining faithful to the original title in their upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2. Their ability to create immersive and unique gaming experiences makes them a developer to keep an eye on in the industry.

Anticipation for Future Projects

As a fan of Bloober Team’s work, I am eagerly anticipating the announcement of Project C and hoping that it will be a brand new original IP rather than a forced sequel to their previous games. The studio’s ability to blend horror elements with narrative depth sets them apart from other developers, and I am excited to see what they have in store for players. With Project R still shrouded in mystery, there is a sense of anticipation for what this collaboration with Skybound Entertainment will entail. Overall, Bloober Team’s future projects hold promise for fans of horror and immersive storytelling, and I look forward to experiencing their upcoming releases.
